The Lead UX Designer creates compelling and delightful interactive experiences for users of our retirement services digital products, various websites and mobile applications. This role will use insights from quantitative and qualitative research to inform the user experience and produce work in an iterative manner while utilizing a human-centered design approach. This person will need to possess strong innovative and creative thinking balanced with pragmatism and be able to communicate with business leaders, product owners, project managers, developers and visual designers. This is a highly visible role and is expected to execute work with boldness, urgency, accountability and transparency. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Create wireframes and prototypes that illustrate functionality and the overarching UX
  • Use design thinking to develop storyboards, user flows and sitemaps
  • Develop and maintain component library to ensure consistency across platforms
  • ย Identify and troubleshoot UX issues (e.g. interaction, device usability, accessibility etc)
  • Present low/high fidelity mockups to internal teams and various stakeholders
  • Iterate using data, research, and client feedback to enhance the user experience
  • Analyze industry competitors and outside industry best of breed experiences.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum 7+ yearsโ€™ work experience as a UX/UI Designer in a complex, highly visible environment.
  • Highly Proficient with UX and collaboration tools such as Sketch, Figma, InVision, LucidChart etc.
  • Deep knowledge and understanding of modern web and mobile architecture.
  • Able to communicate the rationale behind design decisions.
  • Key understanding of the product development lifecycles, from ideation to production.
  • Solid experience in developing and understanding journey maps, product blueprints and can find key and applicable information in research studies.
  • Ability to showcase work of projects delivering business value
  • Normal Office Working Conditions: this job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment.
