The team you will be a part of

You will join the User Experience and Reporting (UXR) team focusing on our product design system, the Nokia Design System. You will work closely with our team of experts, bringing your exceptional design skills and user-centric approach to design. Your experience with design best practices will help us achieve innovation, consistency, and scalability across our design system and the Nokia products that use it.

Educational recommendations

Currently a candidate for a Master’s, Bachelor's degree, or Diploma in User Experience Design or a related field with an accredited school in Canada. 



Responsibilities

As a part of our team, you will: 

  • Produce designs to help the entire product team grasp the desired user experience: sketches, storyboards, wireframes, visual mock-ups, and prototypes. 
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to explore and translate business and user requirements and technology constraints into simple yet meaningful design solutions. 
  • Engage with product managers and peers in UX and development team members to solve user and business goals using user-centered design principles. 
  • Collaborate and discuss prototyping outcomes with fellow designers, PMs, and developers to ensure high-quality implementation of your designs. 
  • Advise, collaborate with, and synthesize feedback from UX designers and researchers.


Qualifications
  • Exceptional interaction design skills that will help us define, visualize, validate, and communicate design solutions
  • Proficiency with design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Miro, and Adobe CC 
  • Excellent communication skills, strong reasoning abilities, and effective people skills 

It would be nice if you also had:

  • Experience using or building a Design System
  • A solid foundation in user-centered design principles 
  • The ability to conduct user research
