About the role
The Senior UX Researcher is a crucial member of the Research Team at Adaptavist, which utilizes a diverse array of research methodologies and evaluation tools to inform product development across different business units. The team focuses on User Experience and Market Research to foster informed decision-making, discover new market opportunities, assess how our products stack up against competitors, guide product development, and refine our current products to ensure they adhere to the highest standards of usability and usefulness.
The main responsibility of this role is to provide actionable insights for product development and promote a user-centered culture at Adaptavist. As a senior position, this role should support strategic informed choices across multiple products within its area of responsibility, working closely with senior stakeholders to implement a user-centered, evideninformed conclusions culture. It requires strong expertise in qualitative and quantitative research techniques and the ability to innovate and introduce new methods as needed. Other important skills include structuring projects to align with business goals and ensuring effective collaboration so that research recommeded informed judgements to concrete changes in the product roadmap. Additionally, mentoring junior researchers, enabling other stakeholders to conduct research, coordinating external resources, enhancing research practices, and ensuring that projects stay on track and meet deadlines are also key responsibilities of this role.
While this position is listed as remote, occasional in-person presence at the office a few times a month is required; hence, we are looking for someone close to London.
About the team
You will be joining Adaptavist's research team, which is composed of 7 members globally. This team works as a service within Adaptavist through the UX Research Service Desk. Their mission is to help product teams build the right products and make sure that they are useful and usable. This team also helps Adaptavist become more customer-centric, synthesising customer insights to inform business conclusions, and product development and ensuring that our product line fits customers' needs.Â
The Senior UX Researcher will conduct research that provides meaningful direction for product development at both strategic and tactical levels. This role typically has an area of responsibility focused on a specific problem area, practice, or business unit, with key areas of focus being:
