Overview

At CACI, we believe that great digital experiences don’t start with technology –they start with people. We’re on a mission to design accessible, human-centred digital products and services that solve meaningful problems for real users. We’re now looking for a Midweight UX Designer to help us deliver work that makes a difference.

This is a role for a confident and curious practitioner, ready to take ownership of smaller engagements and lead parts of larger projects. You’ll support senior colleagues while deepening your experience in research, interaction design, information architecture and prototyping. You’ll work with a multidisciplinary team, helping to design experiences that work for users – and for the organisations that serve them.

Who are we and how do you fit in?

CACI is a data and technology consultancy with a human edge. With over 1,200 people in the UK and part of a 22,000-strong global group, we help national and international clients use data and insight to transform how they work.

Our Experience Design team sits within the wider Experience & Transformation practice. We bring together strategists, designers, researchers and technologists to solve some of the most interesting problems out there – from evolving digital journeys in financial services to improving essential public services used by millions.

What you’ll be doing

  • Contribute to all stages of the UX lifecycle, from discovery to delivery, supporting or leading smaller project workstreams
  • Plan and conduct user research using a range of methodologies (e.g. depth interviews, usability testing, surveys)
  • Help plan and support running workshops to gather insights, align stakeholders and shape direction
  • Analyse and synthesise research findings into clear insights and opportunities
  • Produce UX deliverables such as personas, user journeys, information architecture, wireframes and prototypes using Figma, Miro and related tools
  • Support project documentation and contribute to reports, playback sessions and handovers
  • Assist with project planning, demonstrating your understanding of project complexities
  • Present your work to clients and collaborate with developers, service designers and other team members to ensure delivery of high-quality, user-centred outcomes
  • Work independently on smaller projects or take ownership of defined tasks within larger engagements

We think you’ll thrive here if you…

  • Have solid UX experience, ideally in an agency, consultancy or internal digital team
  • Are ready to own discrete parts of a project independently and contribute confidently to workshops and client sessions
  • Can explain your design decisions clearly, with strong communication and stakeholder management skills, while being supported by senior team members
  • Have practical experience with user research, wireframing, prototyping and interaction design
  • Are confident using tools like Figma, Miro, Optimal Workshop or Dovetail
  • Are skilled in writing clear reports and presenting insights and design work to clients
  • Are comfortable with ambiguity and able to learn quickly in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Are interested in emerging technologies and AI-powered tools that streamline research and design workflows

We are committed to creating a diverse environment and are proud to be an equal-opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, colour, religion, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, national origin, genetics, disability, age, or veteran status.

Successful candidates must have the right to work in the UK.
